California Proposition 65 Statement and Information
WARNING: Our products may contain chemicals known to the State of California to cause cancer and
birth defects or other reproductive harm. For more information go to www.p65warnings.ca.gov.
Why are we telling you this?
As of August 2018 the State of California has changed the requirements of the "Prop 65" law. In order to sell our products into the state of California we must now list on our website any possible chemicals that according to the State of California, can cause cancer, birth defects or other reproductive harm.
As an example:
ABS plastic contains styrene.
PVC wire insulation can contain Di(2-ethylhexyl)phthalate (DEHP)
Electrolytic Capacitors can contain Ethylene Glycol
Brass can contain lead
Printed circuit boards can contain Tetrabromobisphenol A (TBBPA)
Aluminum alloys can contain chromium.
Wood finishing products can contain a cocktail of petrochemicals.
To put it simply, in order to manufacture our products, we purchase electronic components and materials manufactured from all around the world. We also purchase vacuum tubes and other electronic components on the secondary market that were manufactured as early as the 1920's and therefore are obviously NOT ROHS compliant. We are a small company and therefore do not have the resources to test every component we use in the manufacture our products down to the last nut, bolt and washer. Therefore, please consider everything used in the manufacture of our products as hazardous. Do not eat, drink or smoke any of the products we manufacture and always wash your hands after touching them.
